Yesterday OpenRemote was included by InfoWorld as one of the most relevant open source software applications in the current panorama. Bossie Awards 2012 have been given to a dozen of open software applications, some of them having to do with Multimedia and automation services. As explained in a precedent post, SWAP networks can be integrated with OpenRemote via lagarto and HTTP commands. On the other hand, we are now working on a protocol extension for OpenRemote that will let this great application communicate with any lagarto server on an event-driven basis, without the need to periodically poll values from OpenRemote Controller. This addition will make OpenRemote work as any other lagarto client as part of the panStamp ecosystem. |
